BROADLEAF ADVENTURE BARN

Indoor Rock Climbing Wall
Low Elements Challenge Course

Our newly renovated Adventure Barn is designed for experiential learning. Experiential learning is a process through which the participants “Learn” through “Experience”. Experiences are structured to require the participant to be actively engaged to take initiative, make decisions, experiment, solve problems, be creative and be accountable for the results.

Youngsters learn best when they are “doing” or “discovering” things for themselves.

What are some of the things they can LEARN with these types of activities:

• Team Skills
• Self Confidence
• Problem Solving
• Creativity
• Communication Skills
• Leadership
• Concentration
• Cooperation

All of this is preformed in a SAFE and FUN atmosphere!!!!

Horsemanship Program

Students learn riding skills, stable management and horse care with lots of "hands on" experience and trail rides. The week wraps up with students participating in their own horse show! All this and more!

BROADLEAF POEM
A poem from one of our campers during a 2008 Adventure Camp

Broadleaf is where you want to be.

There are lots of horses you can see.

When it comes to the time to eat,

The food is surely a tasty treat

Lessons on riding everyday,

Horses like Eva, Peanut and Jay.

Tammy and Shelly teach us well,

They help train horses like Nancy and Belle.

Our male counselor is obviously fantastic.

We think his brain is made of plastic.

Our female counselors love playing guitars.

One day they’ll be musical stars.

Broadleaf campers are full of fun.

We canoe, bike and swim in the sun.

Even though the end is near,

We will definitely be back next year.
